'The Last Supper' wins award in Russia

Iran documentary 'The Last Supper' by Mohammad Ghanefard has won award at Russian film event.

The Russian television and cinema film event honored the Iranian flick as the Best Documentary.

The film takes a closer look at Syrian Christians who have lived in Syria years before Islam and with the speared of Islam in the country they had always lived in peace with Muslims.

The Last Supper’ narrates the miseries of such Christians in Syria following the outbreak of deadly violence and crisis in the Arab country.

The film has won several awards from international film festivals including the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival in India.

The 2018 edition of the film event was held September 2018.
